I typically always order meat on a sandwich but went out of my comfort zone on the falafel wrap, and honestly it was my favorite of the two! I had to wait a little but one guy was preparing the sandwiches and checking people out. I will gladly wait when it comes to good, fresh food and when it's supporting a family owned local spot. You can also venture around the market while you wait. Can't wait to go back!
Edit: best to call ahead and check their hours! They are closing earlier all the time. Hours on the door DO NOT match what is listed in Google! Very annoying to make a special trip only to find them closed. My previous comments remain true.Great homemade Mediterranean style food, quality ingredients for your own cooking adventures and a lovely owner!
Saliba has been providing Greensboro with tasty culinary products from other countries for 30+ years. The high quality dried fruits, creamy roasted cashews (the best I've ever tasted which are nothing like commercial store bought), quality olive oils, spices and seasonings, not to mention unique deli meats and cheeses (sandwichs made at deli in back) are just a few of my favs. Also checkout the family restaurant on Elm street in downtown Greensboro for a menu which extends beyond deli sandwichs, including Shawarma, Lamb Burgers, ever famous Falafels, the best salads, and much more!!
One of the best family owned shops in the Triad. Food is made with love. Always interesting products on the shelves. In addition, if he has time to chat -which is generally most of the time, unless he is busy with a big order- Saliba is one of the kindest and wisest souls I've ever encountered. We moved to CT years ago and I still treasure the time I spent there when I lived in Greensboro. A MUST visit if you live in or are visiting Greensboro. Have a falafel for me!
Great vegan options and hibiscus tea! Great little seating area out in the back for some great conversations.
