We were looking for a place to eat after getting some last minute grocery shopping done and every other place was closed for Christmas Eve. We had been wanting to go here for a while, so when we saw it was opened, we decided that tonight was the night! My husband ordered the deluxe Calzone and it was huge! He said it needed some sort of spice, not sure if it was salt or not, but he put some on it. Other than that it was good. I ordered the chicken stew (there's an Andean name for it, but can't spell it. LoL). It was a yellow pepper chili chicken with potatoes and rice. I thought it was good. It had a little kick, but not extremely spicy. I ordered the Spumoni for dessert and it did not disappoint!! Yummy! If you like spumoni, don't skip it!
If I could give it negative stars I would. Italian food was bland the salad bar lacked toppings very limited. My wife got the lomo saltado and there was barely any meat in the dish more veggies than anything else, the dish is called lomo tenderloin) saltado not veggies saltado. Servers were ok but weren’t really present and manager was rude and narrow minded. When we approached the manager and told her there was more veggies than meat she proceeded to say “why didn’t she eat the veggies” if your charging 23 bucks for a dish that the main star is meat, make sure that it’s the actual main star. I’m definitely not going back or wasting a cent in that restaurant let alone recommended it to anyone. I’ve been in the food industry for over 10 years first time having such a horrible experience. I’m from jersey so I now what good Italian and Hispanic food taste like
Wonderful Italian and Andean food. Great place and great service. The Home made meat sauce with penne is delicious. Wife loved the Chicken parmigiana. Truly a great evening meal.
Nice authentic food. Love that they offer both Italian and Ecuadorian food, as this gives many options to please everyone. Our family has been coming here as a yearly tradition for years. One trip to the salad bar is included with your meal, which is very nice! The ambience could use some improvement, and they always seem a bit short-staffed, so make sure you have plenty of time to dine in.
An absolute gem! Although I live in New Jersey, I have family who lives in Taylors, not far from Greer. Every single time we visit my family, we eat at Andinos, and every single time, it is a great experience. I have tried items off both the Italian menu and Andean menu and have never been disappointed. The Italian food is second to none (and that's coming from an Italian American from New Jersey! , and the Andean food is also delicious, especially if (like me you occasionally want to try something different. I read a few of the negative reviews and honestly feel like they describe an entirely different restaurant. The food here is always fresh and tasty, the service has always been great, and the prices are more than reasonable. My family and I love it so much, we ate there twice the last time I visited the area! Strongly recommend you give it a shot. UPDATE It's been almost 3 years since we last visited family in South Carolina due to the pandemic, but upon returning recently, we made sure to stop at our favorite local restaurant, Andino's twice, in fact! During our first visit, our party ordered mostly Andean food, splitting the Llapingachos appetizer and three entrees: the Filete De Pescado Al Horno, Lomo Saltado and Chaulafan (the only dish I actually remembered to photograph this time! . The food was OUTSTANDING! And for dessert, which we couldn't pass up, we split a tiramisù, which was also great. On our second visit, we ordered from the Italian menu, splitting a sausage pizza, calzone, and a meatball parm sub, all of which were excellent, as was the service. Suffice it to say, we can't wait for our next visit!!
