Courthouse Cafe - Gretna

The food was fantastic, the service was outstanding, and the location is very convenient, just a short distance from the Algiers ferry and the parish courthouse in historic Gretna.

My husband asked me to find a breakfast spot, and I came across this gem on trusty Google. Kitty, our server, was absolutely fantastic! She was attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. We asked a gentleman where to park, and it turned out he was one of the owners! He directed us to a very convenient parking spot while we enjoyed our meal. We had a lovely conversation with his beautiful wife and son as well. The café has a cozy, quaint atmosphere, and the owners are wonderful. The food was outstanding! I highly recommend visiting to enjoy both the delicious food and the friendly people.

We were visiting from Baltimore, Maryland on February 17, 2022, and we felt incredibly welcomed. The service was excellent and friendly, and the food was fabulously delicious. Thank you!

Exceptional food and great service! Quick home made dishes will keep you coming back (the grits are heavenly)! Very attentive yet not smothering staff. This is truly a gem of Old Gretna!
