El Mesquite offers some of the best, authentic Mexican food on the Westbank.

I live down the street from this place and this was my first and last visitWe ordered the fajitas and burrito, and apparently a side of attitude.

The food was good. The service was a little slow. We had about 8 in our group. They were quick to get our drinks to us. This is always a good thing in summer heat. I think if you have to ask the waiter to take your order, this is a little slow. The food was very good. Company was fun. The atmosphere was beautiful.

I will return to this place for two reasons. Good food and fast service. Everything happens here before you have time to think about it. They go in and sit fast. A server comes to the table with chips and salsa. Another server comes to the table and ask what you want to drink. The drink's coming. The server asks what you want to eat. The food arrives and drinks refills arrive. And before you know, eat and enjoy your food and time at the restaurant. The whole process took less than 20 minutes. I don't know how they have such a great symmetry in service or an excellent speed with food delivery, but they do and make this place amazing. The drink is also good and there is a private bar area in front of the restaurant. Some evenings have an outdoor area and live music. The staff is friendly and happy to make your visit pleasant and pleasant. The decor is old, but in nostalgic style. If you weren't here and like Hispanic food, mixed with little Americans than I think you should try this place. Enjoy
