A&W Restaurant - Grimsby

After receiving a pamphlet in the mail advertising the grand opening of the A & W in Grimsby we decided to stop by and check it out. It had been a while since we had been to an A&W and I was disappointed at that particular visit...no more whistle dogs ! These were always a favourite of mine...but I guess no more !!!This day we ordered 3 mama burgers at $ 2.00 each...these being one of the specials offered for the grand opening. I had customized mine...not liking ketchup or onion ...which is on the mama burger. Although the resturant was expectedly busy ...the wait to order was not too long. Order was taken and we sat down to await the call for our burgers. It seemed like everyone else that came in at the same time ....and just after us were served and we were still waiting ! Finally I decided to check on my order...it was not to be found...yes it was in the "system "...but when the cashier asked around ..it could not be found ! She quickly re-ordered and with 5 min ( maybe less ) we had our burgers...and 2 complimentary apple pies...for the mix-up !( A nice gesture ) I was tole someone else with the same name ???? took my order...but we had never heard my name called...nor had my daughter and family...who were also with us ! I did enjoy the burger..and the pie and probably would return to try again !

Sometimes I get called into work at all hours of day or night and when I'm on my way home I find I do need a little snack to carry me on my way. They are just off the highway and open .Thanks for staying up for me A&W !

We stopped in for a bite to eat on our way from Niagara Falls to Toronto. My kids like root beer so A&W was a natural choice; I was unaware of their custom of serving it in frosted, glass mugs. What a treat! I liked my cheeseburger although the kids did not like the taste of their chicken fingers. Pleasant service and decor.

The best fast food hamburger restaurant on QEW in Grimsby, Ontario. Excellent fast service and cheerful staffing, clean washrooms. Very happy, a must visit on a way to Niagara Falls.

Stoped in for breakfast and we loved it. Eggs the way I like them with bacon and sausage, toast and jam. All I can say yummy.
