Papa Jays Southern Quezine - Guadalupe

While we were in Guadalupe , we decided to try papa jays after hearing so many good things about it. I'm so glad we made the stop Papa Jays has some of the best fried chicken I've ever had! It was perfectly cooked and seasoned with a nice little kick! The Mac n cheese was on point and the corn bread was moist. The beef ribs had a great flavor and for dessert they had a delicious brownie. They even threw in an extra. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Great home cooking and hospitality.

Just FYI..drove here on a Wednesday from Santa Maria it is 5:30pm and it's closed but, on Google it show's as open.

Family owned which we love and the best fried chicken we have ever had. A little spicy if you are sensitive to that but honestly amazing! Be prepared to wait (call in on your way) because it is all made from scratch. Definitely worth the wait!!

Seriously?! As a central coast native, you guys / gallows, hands down, have some of the most tasteful food EVER, and best service round! You made my family feel at home and felt all our abdominal feelings so good. We'll be back! Tone of locals would come and order as we sat, and loved watching / apart from their convos. A high meal VS soul food? Zero comparison. Dad! Jays definitly takes the cake! All food options are so worthy, FYI!!

This place is amazing!! Delicious bbq chicken...and I snagged some fried catfish off my friend's plate...what a treat!! Great find!!
