I don't understand what the thing is with this place. when I went the options, were fritted mushrooms and pork on a stock that were both fat, moderate, and when someone who lived in japan for years, it tastes absolutely nothing like authentic. the service is moderate and the environment is poor that they eat in a crowded back alley covered by flying. jump this place.
We had dinner in the second delica mitsu at tecolote. we had eaten and loved at the original place a few years ago. the newer restaurant has a different menu. we ate two sushi rolls and a teriyaki bowl and. that was terrible! the rice was cooked in all, until it had turned into a gum-like, pasty chaos. the filling of sushi rolls had no great taste. the chicken in the teriyaki bowl was covered with a gooey, tasteless sauce and was muddy and had no taste at all. I don't know if it was just one night, but it was the worst we had in guanajuato. we lived five years in japan and know we quit a bit about Japanese eating. we were so disappointed!
Visiting old friend, this is one of her lunch faves. 2 ex-pat friends joined us. Everything very fresh tasty. Friendly, efficient service. Ambience ok. Good value. Not a destination but a good change of pace from the local fare.
This is considered a Japanese restaurant and I'd say it's Japanese(ish) They have a large variety of salads and appetizers and a few sushis. It's Bento style so you start at the food counter and pick the dishes you want according to the size of...the Bento you order. You'll choose from the various options which include veggies, salads, and sushis. Then they bring it to your table. It's a very relaxed, student oriented restaurant and the food is excellent. The outdoor patio is quiet and very pleasant. I've eaten here twice but my wife lived in Guanajato for 3 months and this was by far her favorite lunch place
