The White Horse - Guildford

Server announced that they cannot guarantee allergies. Had a useful Ipad, but does not break ingredients or any sauces etc. They bought the Allergen folder, but this also did not contain all Allergen info. Instead, the server had to make a picture of the labels on their phone for me. I am milk and gluten-free and there were no available options for me for beginners, pages or web. I was offered simple chicken, simple rice and peas, in the end we could add bbq sauce. Jackenkartoffeln have been offered on the website and menu as pages to main dishes, as chips are fried in gluten friyers, but they no longer offer this in the house, mash is prefabricated so they don't have it without butter! Has vegan ice cream offered.

We had a great time during our lunch at The White Horse. Despite the busy restaurant, likely due to it being half term, the service was quick. Our waitress was attentive and cheerful, always smiling. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We would love to visit The White Horse more often, but parking in the charming village of Shere can be a challenge as spaces fill up quickly. However, if you make a reservation, it is definitely worth risking the parking situation.

Pleasant set of outside drinks, in the rear beer garden, late afternoon. Friendly welcome from the female staff member. Pleasant, early evening atmosphere, inside, whilst peaceful outside.

Both Ashleigh and Audrey gave us a warm welcome at the restaurant. The meal was tasty and the prices were reasonable. It brightened up a dreary, rainy day in September. Thank you!

We had Sunday lunch here this weekend and cannot recommend this pub enough! Food was amazing, and out promptly and was served with a smile. The manager Ashley and her deputy Josh were simply so welcoming, professional and couldn’t do enough for us! Will be back again asap! Would highly recommend to family’s, couples, and people looking for a great afternoon out. Five stars!!
