Captain Al's Steak Seafood - Gulfport

I feel like I got ripped off. The reviews brought me and my hubby here ....was looking for a nice spot to enjoy anniversary, coming from Louisiana..well I was disappointed. $35 loaded boat so I expected it to be filled with yummy goodness but it was a little scoop of rice with overcooked Mahi Mahi and 3 shrimps on top. SMH. If It wasn't a to go order we were really tired and ready to relax) I would've sent it back to the kitchen. I'm so disappointed. Waste of money

The place was packed and the staff was unable to handle. Wait staff was walking around with food trying to find who it belong to. We had three waiters asked if the meals they had in hand was ours. We witnessed this frequently. I order top shelf margaritas which were to be made with Patron and Grand Marnier. They tried to use a cheaper brand other than the Grand Marnier. The tables were too close as such wait staff was continuously bumping against patrons sitting at the tables. Our food was average at best. Their beer selection is quite minimum for a restaurant of this size.

Our 14th year Anniversary dining outside underneath the ? was amazing! We both ordered the red snapper fish in a bed of lobster and corn bisque which was magnificent and The appetizer was grilled parmesan oysters with crabmeat salads.Food: 5/5

Honestly, being from texas my standards weren’t that high this restaurant didn’t even meet them. The pasta taste like the shrimp was boiled in the same water it was very bland. Lump crab pasta wasn’t appetizing either. Then don’t make me talk about the fried pickles. I would give a zero but i can’t so you get one star. On the other hand our server was awesome, if you do decide to come here ask for adrienne she was AWESOMEEE <3

Friendly staff, great teamwork, everyone asked if we needed anything. Food was hot and large portions. Had the lunch special and it was enough for two meals for me. Probably could have just eaten an appetizer. The Mango Habanero margarita was excellent! Love the fish hanging from the ceiling as well as the other decor. We sat inside but the balcony view looked amazing. Next time I’m going to try the boat!
