Írjon visszajelzéstI gave him 4 stars for toughness, but was disappointed by the price for what I got. I ordered the veggie fried rice (about $10) there were hardly veggies and I asked to add tofu and that cost an additional $5. I paid it to try their food and help to keep a mother and play in business, but it was expensive for the amount of food. It tastes good. Currently (5/19/2022) they are open only for exit.
Overall, this spot earns four stars. While the ambiance isn’t exactly appealing, the food tastes fairly decent. It might not win any aesthetic awards, but it’s a place I find myself returning to from time to time. Their menu offers organic, vegan, and healthy alternatives, although it doesn’t inspire me to overindulge. I appreciate that they steer clear of MSG. I’ve been here often, and my experience has been consistently similar—around 3.75 stars. They offer a combo food selection for under $10, which includes four items and soup, with a $0.50 upgrade to brown rice (the standard is white rice). Next time, I'll remember to just get the half-brown rice upgrade for $0.25 since there's quite a bit of rice. The selection features ten different items, which change daily, so you won’t always see the same dishes available. In the late afternoon, if something runs out, it’s gone. What you see is what you get. Some dishes lack salt, while others can be quite salty, so I have to choose my combo wisely to ensure a fulfilling meal. The flavors have a home-cooked quality—you might not crave it long-term, but at least it feels healthy. On days when I want to detox, it fits the bill, though my kids aren't particularly fond of this place, making it challenging to feed them here. Now, on to the drinks and desserts, which I’d rate five stars. They also focus on organic and healthy options. The Lavender Lemonade was nice; it had the aesthetic of lavender but tasted like regular lemonade, sweetened with brown sugar and adorned with whole blueberries. Next time, I’ll request half the sugar. The vegan ice cream was good as well, although being soy-based, having too much left an odd aftertaste. I’d buy it again, but I’ll be careful not to overdo it. As for the ambience, I’d give it three stars. It carries a typical, laid-back Taiwanese vibe that might surprise you if you come with the right expectations. The lunch crowd is surprisingly steady, with all tables filled by 1 PM. The place is clean and organized, although I noticed there are no visible garbage cans; they have a few brown containers at the tray return that aren’t marked, which was new for me but I respect their approach. The overall look is that of an average mom-and-pop restaurant, a bit unappealing, yet tidy. However, the menu display could definitely use an upgrade. It’s plastered everywhere—on the walls, counters, paper, and the regular menu—and it can be confusing on your first visit. Even after four or five times, I still find myself looking around to figure out what I want to order. Lastly, a couple of stars go to the parking situation. The restaurant is located in a small square with very narrow parking spaces, which can be stressful, especially when it comes to maneuvering around other cars. The tiny plaza could really use a facelift.
I always come here and get Wonton soup, really good I come again and again when I also tried their carrot, celery and apple juice pretty well near the area.
Family owned and operated by husband (Koch) and wife (Boss). This restaurant I've been here for over 12 years. Best brown rice I've ever had, it's the only restaurant I know that has quality brown rice ..You have some of the best tofu dishes in San Gabriel Valley and are very tasty and excellent dishes to choose from such as Tofu w/ Vegetables Veggie Tofu Trio .. my favorite is soy on my fried brown rice w/ Vegetables cured. You have delicious Veggie Chow My and organic smoothes that are simply made from the highest organic fruits. I recommend to anyone who enjoys Vegan, Veggies and Organic Smoothies to meet this point, never a disappointment just the best.
Whenever you come across a family-owned restaurant that has been around for many years and is situated in a strip mall, you should definitely give it a try. This place is truly a hidden gem! I enjoyed the Amy's tofu, pan-fried noodles, spring rolls, and sugarcane juice. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted incredible. The owners were extremely friendly, and the restaurant was spotless. Don't forget to ask for their chili sauce—it's made in-house, just like everything else! The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the sugarcane juice is only available on Saturdays. If you have non-vegan friends, they won’t even notice the difference!
