The pharmacy department is full of nauseating perfume scents, enormous space is devoted to alcohol, and you can 't even buy organic bread in a newly expanded and improved bakery section. What a tragic story. Bezos is not half as bad as those who sold out to him.
We have been using curbside pickup since it was introduced during the covid pandemic. Being seniors, we have found this service to be very convenient and have been highly satisfied with it. Ordering through the app or website is similar to creating a grocery list, and you can specify any substitutions for items that are not available, or request no substitutions at all. While I wish the process for making substitutions was a bit simpler (you can only do it during checkout), it still works well for us. We typically add items to our cart as needed and place an order every week or two. The shoppers have been wonderful and the pickup process is easy. You can notify the app when you are on your way, then when you arrive at the designated parking spots, indicate your parking space number on the app. The shopper will then come out promptly, wearing a mask and gloves, to load your items into your car.
The restaurant is doing an excellent job during the COVID-19 outbreak by cleaning the credit card machine and checkout counters after each customer, as well as limiting the number of people allowed inside at once. I noticed they were also regularly cleaning shelves, doors, and shopping carts. All employees are wearing masks and remain friendly despite the challenging circumstances.
We are loyal Whole Foods customers, but we are disappointed that they are not offering curbside pickup during this stay-at-home period due to COVID-19. Many businesses in our area, both big and small, are providing this service, and other Whole Foods locations are as well. We can no longer go into the store, so we have had to find alternative sources for our groceries. Whole Foods should reconsider their decision, especially since some employees have tested positive for the virus.
A little pricey so I wouldn't recommend going often but its great for trying some new healthy products every now and then.
