Shama Restaurant - Haldwani

I am talking about the shama that is at the back side of the haldwani bus stop.The non veg one ,good taste and reasonably priced but but not very clean.

We went there when suggested by someone but first impression was not good but food is good here. i can easily understand that that was unhygienic but taste good. Also one point that there are several shama restaurant so only go to shama near to bus stand only.

The first thing to note is that there are several Shama restaurants in Haldwani. In fact there are over a dozen Shama restaurants right from Moradabad to Haldwani) The one adjacent to the Haldwani bus stand is the most well known and also crowded where one may not be able to park one's car, The other the older one is inside the market near the mosque and generally not accessible or suitable for tourists.The clientele is mostly local. For tourists with cars I recommend the branch on Haldwani Bareilly main road near the main Haldwani Subji mandi . Here it is possible to park one's car in front of the restaurant on the road.This review is for this hotel. They have an air conditioned dining hall and a family room as well but take note if the AC is not functional the air inside could be stuffy and also smelly due to the strong spices used in the cooking. We normally pack up the food under such conditions. The taste of the food can be quite enjoyable if one is not averse to strong spices although they do have chicken dishes that are less spicy, like Chicken Kali Mirch. In any case it might be a good idea to instruct them to scale down on the spices when you place the order. Take note they seldom comply.

Its an average hotel if you consider parking as it's on road next to bus stand .. can't dine with family.. take away food is best option.. it has another franchise in haldwani.. it's food is 5 star..consider mutton or chicken..it gives the best nonveg dishes in haldwani..

When I say best chicken I very well mean it. I am a hardcore chicken fan and the kali-mirch chicken they serve is the bestest you will ever have. When I am not in Haldwani I crave badly for it. Must try for all chicken lovers, you will fall in love with it.
