Gahan House Nova Centre - Halifax

Very bad experience at this location. Server was rude and not in a good moon.Worst part, i saw a mouse running in the dinning area, I thought it cant be reel, i must have imagine that, but my girlfriend came back from the washroom and mention she just saw a mouse as well. I run to the bar to mention it to 2 staff member, they answer was, no worry its probably the same one you saw twice. I asked for the bill and leave.

This is an Erik only review as Cheryl did not attend. I ate here on August 26, 2023. I was seated quickly, and my server arrived promptly. My server was friendly and efficient. I had a couple of beers, calamari and the brown bag fish and chips. The food arrived in a reasonable time and was well presented. The calamari was good with a nice texture and flavor. The fish and chips were decent with the fish being a little greasy, but tasty. This was a nice lunch, and I would definitely eat here again.

Dropped in for a quick drink with family who were waiting for a show at the local theatre to start. Despite not being in there very long it was very evident how delighted the table was with their service. The cocktails were excellent. I have had eaten there in the past with no complaints either. It's a good spot to kill some time and enjoy good food and drink.

Delicious food and generous portions! The interior is very cool, lots to look at and admire. Our server was really nice and patient despite our constant distractions making us forget to look at the food menu to order. The brown bag chicken comes with a TON of fries.

We went for the oysters but then surprised and disappointed that an ‘Oyster Bar’ had none at all, with no real explanation beyond a shrug from our waitress. Pretzel Bites shared starter was awful. Not pretzels at all, just huge chunks of salty bread. Mains were much better. Haddock tacos were fresh and tasty, with a crisp spinach salad. Ring Bearer Burger was perfectly cooked, with superb fries on the side. Indulged in a few of the vast selection of local beers.
