Lonsdale Hotel Bistro - HALLETT COVE

I hadn't been here for 18 months, but as always, the food was delicious and the staff were fantastic. Despite being crowded today, there were no disappointments. My seafood platter was absolutely phenomenal, one of the best meals I have ever had. The staff was attentive and friendly, setting a great example for other restaurants to learn from.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and it was definitely worth it. The chicken carving was the best I've ever had! The side of vegetables was also perfect!

We ordered two scotch fillets, one mixed seafood dish, and two pies. The results were disappointing as both steaks were tough and only two pieces of seafood were satisfactory. When I inquired about the manager, a male worker claimed he was not the manager. He explained that the steaks were not scotch fillets but a different type of steak due to a new supplier. I requested a refund but was told by the worker that he did not have the authority to provide one. This was the second time in about six weeks that we experienced the same issue with the steaks. Previously, we had enjoyed four excellent scotch fillets at the restaurant. I was treated as if I did not know what I was talking about when I raised my concerns.

Meal was 100%. but unfortunately the mark up on a local wine was not.. From Bistro $43.00 from Bottle Shop $20.00. Service was good, friendly staff. Will go back for meal, but not the wine.

Just had the worst meal I have ever had. I have never put a review on before but couldn’t ignore how bad this was. Got there and got fed up waiting for someone to greet us and show us to our table. Ordered some bubbles,...which was flat. I notified the staff and they got the manager who notified me he had given me a new glass, which he didn’t. I got the same glass back. Waited for about 40 minutes for dinner and it was the worst dinner I have ever had. Will never go back
