Las Chillonas - Hamamatsu

For the location being in Hamamatsu city, Shizuoka, Japan, there is a lot of good things to be said about this place. First the staff are very friendly and accommodating. When I arrived, they were preparing for an event, but were very willing to find a dine in place for myself. The food itself was a nice healthy take on classic Mexican food while still adhering to the roots of Mexican cuisine.

Very delicious food with an interesting atmosphere. If you are from the Western Hemisphere and you love spicy food, you should visit this restaurant. The food is done to order so the meal is hot and juicy. You can do both Dine in and take out. I have visited here several times and I have done both. The staff is very warm and friendly. The whole restaurant is infused with Mexican culture which includes spanish speaking staff. It's about 10-15 mins walk from Hamamatsu Station. If you ever visit Hamamatsu, you should put this restaurant on your bucket list!

The food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. There are plenty of choices for both meat eaters and vegetarians. You should definitely make a reservation they are very popular and tables fill up quickly. We definitely plan to come back any time we are in Hamamatsu.

Amazing Mexican food right in the middle of Hamamatsu! Everything was delicious, fresh, and hot! Make sure you try the BEST churro of all time!

I visited this restaurant more than two years ago and it quickly became one of my favorite places. Rosa, the owner and the cook, is an incredibly nice and happy person who enjoys to ensure that their customers feel at home during their visit. I tried to go at least once a week, although it was a bit far from where I lived then, and the food was consistently amazing, and Rosa and her family were always sweet and friendly. I loved her vegan chimichanga, and recently saw that she added vegan or vegetarian versions of her whole menu! I wish I would still live near Hamamatsu so I could try them all!
