We were looking for a restaurant that served lobster for my SisterinLaw. We are so glad that we found the Brasserie Flum in the Grand Elysee Hotel. We were staying at the Motel One Alster, right by the Line at Lohmuhlenstrasse. It was easy...to take the and stop at either the Stephansplatz stop behind the Dammtor, and walk north, or the Hallastrasse stop, and walk down the Rothenbaumstrasse, which is perhaps less hectic that walking through the busy intersections around the Dammtor at rush hour. We ate on a Monday night at the end of January. There were a few couples and business groups eating Le Plateau Royale the seafood towers that are offered and seem to be enjoyed by all. We ordered the DemiHummer Lobster, the Scholle Finkenwerder Art whole plaice, and Filet de Cabillaud cod. All of our meals were beautifully cooked and flavorful. We had a glass of Cremant de Loire as an aperitif the sparkling wines by the glass are hidden on the back page of the dessert menu all other wines by the glass are in the regular wine menu. We had a nice affordable French white wine, and split an ice cream and berry dessert. Our waiter was delightful, offering cheerful and attentive service throughout our visit. If we visit Hamburg again, we would definitely dine at the Brasserie Flum again. It was a great value for a memorial meal
