Cracker Barrel - Hamilton

Love is coming! Every time I flee to Jersey, I'm always looking for a cracker barrel. Pancakes were made with so much precision, the crispy edges were LIFE! My personal favorite is the cheese potatoes that don't beat!

We always enjoy our visits to the cracker barrel! Mercedes was awesome and our food came out very fast!

This is a fantastic spot for American-style tea. The dishes are expertly prepared and the portions are generous. Just a heads up: the restaurant can get quite busy, so it’s a good idea to call ahead. While you wait, you can browse a variety of retro and Americana items available for purchase.

The food was good, as always, but the service was lacking. There were issues at three different points: when we placed our order, when the food was served, and when we received the check. Another waitress even had to come over to ask for spices and drinks.

Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and clearly busy. I ordered pancakes and bacon, which were quite satisfying. The pancakes were large—about 7 inches—and topped with salted butter, which made them moist enough to eat on their own. Still, the two small bottles of maple syrup they served with it were hard to resist. The bacon was cooked to a perfect balance—half crispy and neither too thick nor too thin. My husband ordered the catfish, which, as always, was beautifully crispy and well-seasoned. To top it off, we used mobile checkout, which saved me from waiting in line. Overall, it was a pleasant experience despite the slow checkout.
