Angelo's Pizzeria - Hampden

I've been driving a couple of times and finally had the chance to go with pizza. the parking lot is enough to fit a few cars and there are a few tables out on the covered veranda. in the inner you will find more stands and tables much space for a decent group. the staff was friendly and the service was fast. I went with a pure cheese pizza and it was pretty good! the chest was thick, fluffy, but also airy and light. they certainly didn't jump on the cheese that was browned. the sauce was pleasantly sweet. there was a bit of a cheese slide, but I had nothing to do with it. overall I am happy with angelo and would return happy for more.

We placed an order for lunch, which was delayed, but we didn't mind. However, the customer service was terrible. The driver who delivered our meal was rude and demanded a tip, despite us already tipping over the phone. When we tried to explain this to the owner, they defended the driver's behavior by saying she only made $5-6 per hour. We were disappointed with the service and how we were treated.

I would never eat at this restaurant again. Recently, there was a closure in Hampden, Maine for over a week. The owner claimed on Facebook that it was due to personal reasons, but I believe it was a lie. I live nearby and saw pest control at the restaurant for two hours during the week they were closed. When I visited, I was treated poorly by all employees, especially the manager. It's no surprise she works as a cashier and not in a position requiring more intelligence, as she was rude and unclear. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I do not recommend it to others.

The food is delicious, but half the time they don't pick up the phone to take orders.

Everything I have tried from Angelo’s Pizzeria is great! Their pizza is unlike anyone else’s in the area and the service is excellent. Furthermore, the prices are some of the best around! If you’re looking for a good pizza place (and everything else they offer) in the area, stop here and give it a try!
