This is a great stop. Chinese? Yes! Lobster roll? Yes! Americana for the kids? Yes! This place was very good. I got the crab roll. My husband got the fish and chips. All delicious! We wanted the Chinese food as it looked so good, but we didn't have room in our stomachs!
We gambled? and lost. Four of us wanted to try a lobster roll, but in early season, the choices are fewer. We thought a modest roadside stand might be a better choice than a Bar Harbor restaurant?. less pricey and touristy. Other reviews indicated this place might be that ?diamond in the rough?, but it was not. Our $25 lobster rolls were fairly small, mostly bland, and kind of chewy. Not terrible at all, but none of us were particularly impressed.
Excellent quality, generous portions. There are many fried items, but they also have a lobster roll that was my favorite during my trip to Maine. Fried clams were fresh, plump and delicious. The fish and chips were also so fresh and so flavorful. They also have THE BEST French fries. The clam chowder was delish, the lobster chowder was also, and packed with delicious lobster. Definitely worth a stop.
This is a fantastic little street-side restaurant! I believe their fish and chips are among the best in the area. You can enjoy a cozy spot to sit and eat, or take your meal to go. I'd definitely come back for lunch!
