Excellent food and a great menu make it a place to return often. They smoke their own meats and offer juicy brisket and ribs, as well as authentic Barbacoa. Pricing is good for high quality ingredients served in a clean place with AC! The owners are food professionals and it shows. British University interns provide efficient service and speak good English. Pass through the sparkling clean kitchen to a spacious garden out back that can accommodate large parties. NOTE: New owners recently so it’s time to try it again.
Burst of flavor!!. Must try Mexican joint in Hanoi, super helpful staff and one the best services in Hanoi. There food and drinks are AMAZING!! The owners are usually around and provide personalised service. Keep going back again and again
It was tasty and the prices were fair. The meats (beef and pork) were delicious, as were the salsas. The California burrito seemed a little smaller than the advertised 425g (15 ounces) but I could easily be wrong. It’s not your typical California style huge burrito that I’m used to getting in California but it’s Hanoi so they get a pass and 5-stars for the taste. The taco was tasty, as well with a nice portion of meat. I took 1-star away because the owner had a couple of passive aggressive comments, which was strange and made the experience a bit awkward. Maybe it was an off night for him so I’ll probably give this place another chance.
If you've had real Mexican food from Mexico or even Mexican neighborhoods in the US- this place isn't it. The service and environment were great. Very friendly workers, good AC, fun music, and nice decor. However, the corn tortillas chips somehow tasted like rice crackers, and the tortillas had a bit of a chalky and chewy texture. Some ingredient is missing for sure- or perhaps how they're preparing the tortillas is completely different. The meat in the tacos was flavorful- especially the barbacoa, but the chicken left a little to be desired (most pieces were a little tough). The guacamole was the best part honestly. I was a little disappointed as I'm a Mexican street food mega fan and the reviews were raving, but again I've been to the country multiple times. Anyone who hasn't had the real stuff will probably like it.
