Írjon visszajelzéstWe previously enjoyed lunch at Copper Kettle, and the food was quite good, particularly the Cheese Grits. However, when my spouse decided to try the Shrimp and Grits for dinner, we were sadly disappointed. His dish was edible but not impressive—just average. I ordered the Chicken Francaise, a dish I've had many times at other restaurants and have even made at home. When it arrived, it resembled a soup with an excessive amount of spaghetti topped with a large piece of chicken. The chicken tasted off, so I set it aside and attempted to eat the pasta, but the sauce was terrible. It seemed like they might have added water instead of chicken broth and completely forgot the butter. Perhaps it could have been better if the sauce had been properly reduced and the chicken fresher, but as it was, it was not enjoyable at all. Given that it was early in the afternoon, maybe the main chef hadn’t arrived yet, and one of the cooks attempted to make it without a recipe? Regardless, we will not be returning; it was a waste of money.
We reside at Smith Mountain Lake and can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The food is excellent, and the service is top-notch. The staff is friendly, adding to the inviting atmosphere. I strongly encourage you to visit The Copper Kettle.
The portions were quite generous, with the exception of the appetizer. The charcuterie board was pricey and didn't offer much in terms of quantity. While all the dishes were beautifully presented, the flavors were just average. We tried the meatloaf, a three-meatball meal, balsamic chicken, and some salads. The salads turned out to be the highlight of the meal. However, the waitstaff and owners were excellent!
My wife and I had dinner at the Copper Kettle last evening. We found the staff very friendly and polite. Our server greeted us in a timely manner. We were served bread with butter while we waited for our entrees. Our dinners arrived at the table pretty quickly. The restaurant was busy and we know for a fact all the area restaurants are understaffed. So we are impressed by the level of service that staff provided. The wife had the Voodoo Pasta with shrimp and I selected the Shrimp and Grits. We found both dishes full of flavor and plenty of serviing. So much so we could not finish our meals. All in all this was a great experience. I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try.
Dined here with a group of friends and had an enjoyable time. The restaurant is easy to access and there is plenty of parking. Indoor and outdoor seating are options. The restaurant was clean and pleasant, and the menu offered a variety of options. Reservations are accepted and recommended for larger groups. The staff was good-natured and engaged in good conversation with our group. Would visit again if in the area.
