Genghis Grill - Harker Heights

Well it was very pleasant, the restaurant was understaff but the two waitresses we very attentive, food was delicious and plenty, restaurant needs a little bit cleanness but what can you expect if they don't have staff , overall was very friendly and attentive,

For our sons birthday we decided to take him here because we had heard so many great things about it! I will start off with their ladies room. The toilet seat looked filthy. So much so that i chose not to use it a second time. Then my table ordered, our waiter came back after placing our order and informed us that they were out of what we ordered. Disappointed, we reviewed the menu's again and finally decided on our orders. My son went to use his fork and said i think i need a new one. Showing us how much gunk was on his. I went on to open all the fork wrappers to see if any others needed to be changed out and the second one still had food on it. I requested plastic ware to play it safe. A while later another young lady comes out with our food. The food was right, the amount was wrong. When i informed the lady that brought our food out, she wanted to distance herself from any responsibility for our order coming out wrong. I requested the receipt, as we ordered a large bowl and two mediums and were given three value bowls instead. Some time later our waiter comes back and informs us that if we decide to eat the food we will only be charged for the value bowls. As if we should have had to pay anything more given we received the wrong sizes. Now we have been waiting to eat well over 45 minutes at this point in a fairly empty restaurant. We had no intentions on waiting longer to receive another wrong order. The flavor of the food wasn't terrible, however after that experience I will not be going back, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Food was delicious, fresh and hot!! Glad we ordered our dinner from there. Great job!

The make your food bowl option is a definite plus. 1. Some of my meat options were a bit burnt 2. Some of my potatoes were under 3. The calamari was under cooked. Overall review of the bowl was not bad but memorable. The server Amber was actively engaged always making sure we were tended to as well as the other guests. The music and lighting were a perfect fit for lunch just don't look up at the air vents.

I hadn 't had build your own Mongolian BBQ in years, so we decided on this place for lunch. They have SO many options, from their bases, proteins, produce, to their seasonings, sauces, sizes! I opted for the rice noodles for my base, while my husband picked udon noodles. He got the medium was able to pick two bases, though they forgot to add the rice he requested. Then they handed us our bowls off we went to start deciding which veggies sauces we wanted. I got the small size, which of course came with a significantly smaller bowl. It made it a little harder to put everything I wanted in, so I had to leave quite a few things off. We both picked tofu vegan chicken for our protein, then picked similar produce, including: bell peppers, jalapeños, cabbage, spinach, mushrooms, onion, water chestnuts, baby corn, snap peas, kimchi, roasted red peppers, green onions, cilantro! Then came the messy part: the sauces! They have a wide variety of sauces to choose from, you can add as many as you 'd like to the sauce cups that you bring to the grill with you. I went for the teriyaki, sesame, 3G sauce, Dragon Sauce, chili sauce. My husband picked similar sauces, added in the roasted garlic oil. Once our bowls were full, we went to the grill, handed the chef our tickets, along with our bowls sauces, took a seat back at our table. Our food was cooked quickly, a kind server brought everything back to us. Because the toppings bowls were a bit small, a lot of it had cooked down by the time we got it. I think their pre-made options are much bigger regardless of the size you order, so that was a little disappointing. But the food was delicious, nice hot, really hit the spot!
