Sonic Drive-in - Hartsville

In my opinion, the meal I ordered was fantastic. The chili cheese coney was unique, with wonderful melted cheese that had great texture. The chili was warm, the bun was toasted, and the hot dog actually tasted like real beef. If I had to choose a place to eat in the area, I would definitely pick Sonic again.

I just had a meal at 10:45 PM, and it was quite disappointing. Most of the food was cold, including the hot dogs we didn’t even order, and the bacon was cold beneath the chili. The tater tots were also cold. Both my wife and I ended up vomiting just 25 minutes later. We felt very disrespected by how we were treated. They could have simply told us they didn’t want to cook anything, and we would have gone somewhere else. I don’t have a photo to share because I ended up throwing everything in their trash in the parking lot. Maybe a dog could eat it, and hopefully PETA would step in. I even heard staff laughing at customers ordering food behind us. It was frustrating to realize that we were the punchline; it seemed like everyone was receiving food that was over two hours old and barely warm.

If I could give this place a zero rating, I would. This establishment does not deserve the ratings it has received. On September 11, 2022, around 10 PM, we decided to stop by this so-called Sonic. The staff was incredibly rude, and we ended up spending $66 on food—if you can even call it that. The hot dog was barely cooked, while the rest of the food was overcooked. I also ordered cheese sticks, and the entire staff was unprofessional, acting as if they were doing me a favor by giving them to me. One of the ladies even threw a fit over handing me the cheese sticks I paid for! I used to visit this Sonic for about 30 years until I moved away a few years ago, and I was shocked at how poorly customers were treated and the quality of food we received. I would not recommend this place; we wasted $66 on food that we couldn’t eat.

DELICIOUS ! But let me add something. I used a credit card that I had not touched in 2 years and still haven t used since. It got hacked. The girl had to take it inside to run. Out of my sight. Thanks for the mess. Be cafreful here.

The service was good. The two waitres were nice didn't get their names.
