Írjon visszajelzéstAfter moving away from the area for around 12 years, I recently returned and stopped by this restaurant for lunch with my son. We really enjoyed our visit. The service was rated a solid 4 out of 5, and the food was excellent. We’ll definitely be back soon. I highly recommend trying the meatloaf; it was delicious. The ambiance is lovely, and the food is very satisfying.
I initially ordered the veggie burger, but unfortunately, they were out of it due to some dietary restrictions I have. However, the staff went above and beyond by preparing a special meal tailored to my needs that wasn't on the menu. I truly appreciate their efforts, and the food turned out to be delicious!
We met up with a friend who suggested this restaurant, and she was spot on! The food was fantastic! The shrimp and grits were delicious, and I really enjoyed the blackened tuna. We were fortunate to visit on a day when appetizers were half off (currently Fridays, but I heard it used to be Thursdays). Our server was excellent, allowing us to chat and catch up without hurrying us through our meal.
Nice spot for lunch. They had a good variety of choices. We tried their gumbo and shrimp bisque, both excellent. Then we had a Ruben and the egg roll appetizer. Both really good. Service was good. Tables were far enough apart to reduce Covid transmission.
My wife and I were very happy that a new restaurant had opened at the old Laurrapin Grill location, run by some of the same people, so on a very cold February Saturday night, we arrived around 7pm and were quickly seated. Two musicians were playing light rock, with some country, by the bar, and were very good. My wife and I each had a glass of the Seaglass Reisling, a pleasant, slightly off-dry wine. I started with the Chicken and Shrimp gumbo (although I thought I saw sausage instead). The soup was good, and a little spicy, but it did have too much salt for my taste. My wife decided to pass on an appetizer. After a slightly long delay, our entrees were served. My wife had the pork shop special, while I had the NY strip steak special. Each entree contained a large side of garlic mashed potatoes, which we enjoyed, along with mixed vegetables, which were just ok. My wife liked her pork chop, and said it was juicy. I ordered my steak medium, and it was served with a good appearance of pink in the middle. The pork chop was a reasonable size, and my steak was actually a little large. I have had better steaks, but this one was still good enough. We each took a dessert back to our B&B. My wife had the carrot cake, which I had the pecan pie. The slices were slightly small, but were reasonably priced. I enjoyed my pie. With tax and tip, our dinner ran a little over $95. Not cheap, but reasonable for what we had ordered. My wife and I will come back.
