Waikiki Hawaiian Grill - Hawthorne

It was delicious. Arrived hot fresh. Chicken Katsu was crispy and the Pot Stickers (8 Pieces) were steaming hot. And the Milk Tea was banging. Overall very good! Thank you!

The food was your average run of the mill Hawaiian spot. The egg rolls were mushy on the inside and need some pepper or something. It was like a veggie stew that was deep fried. The musubi was not bad. The house fried rice and fried noodle had a nice mixture of shrimp, bbq beef and bbq chicken but it was all on top. I 'm used to the protein being mixed in rather than thrown on top. The chicken katsu is your average breaded deep fried plate. Regular size portions, it is not like Aloha Hawaiian BBQ where they give you huge island sized portions. The service was terrible. The lady Sue seemed like she did not want to be there. She seemed snappy and the way she says, What else? made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. While we were waiting for our order, she did this to several other people that came in and ordered and you can tell that some of them felt flustered to order. Although they do not close until 9pm she turned off the TV at 7:45pm to pretty much tell us to leave without saying it. My family had just gotten their order about 10mins before she turned off the TV and glared towards our table. We weren 't being loud or loitering but she really seemed like she wanted us to leave. Her type of service will destroy a business because no one is not going to want to deal with her so they 'll just avoid the spot altogether. The other lady taking orders was very nice to us and even called out Sue on her behavior. The ambiance was a cool diner feel. No booths just tables and chairs. Two single person but all gender bathrooms. It requires a key from the register. This is to prevent homeless people from bathing in the sink. All in all. I will not go again. Sue left a bad taste in our mouths and it was enough to upset my kids. They are usually on their phones and don 't pay attention but they picked up her vibe and mentioned it on the way out. Spent $70 for mediocre food and Sue.

I've been here several times, they are always nice, the place is well lit, very clean and the service is excellent. They are very fast and don't make you wait a long time to get your food.
