The Mexican Restaurant & Bar - Hayward

This place is amazing. The cocktails are fantastic. Food is great! Even for a vegetarian like me. Atmosphere is fun and plenty of TV's to view games etc. Staff is above average. Super attentive..but not overly attentive, which I appreciate. I will always return. Hands down, the best Mexican restaurant in Hayward. The carne asada wet burrito is phenomenal. The red sauce is exquisite. Very relaxed atmosphere, service is top notch. Will return. Three of us went to this restaurant on a Sunday night for a quick meet up. Our friend said they'd been here plenty of times before and absolutely love it, so we of course had to try it out ourselves. It was easy for us to find a location using Waze and we were quickly able to park and go in and get seated. Luckily for us we came in right before a game had started and also right before a gigantic work group came in to eat so we were quickly able to be seated and would have also gotten our food quickly. If one of our friends had actually looked through the menu. We of course were catching up, so we were talking a lot more and not really paying attention to the menu, but the person who was working with us (I truly wish I had gotten their name because they were absolutely the sweetest person ever) took his time with us. He came back and checked on us more than once, honestly more than five different times just to get our initial orders because we were not paying attention to the menus at all. And even after we ordered, of which the food was absolutely delicious, he continued to come over and check in with us about getting more drinks and desserts. Though I live sort of far from this area, I definitely will be going back to this location when I have the chance. Parking: Their parking lot is a little confusing when you first see it. I think when I was there remembered seeing about three different entrances that you could take into the parking lot. The parking lot makes the shape of an L, so there's parking very close to the restaurant and parking that you would have to walk a little bit from. Either way, all of the parking is pretty well, though the gravel in the parking lot might not be the most even so be warned about that if you have on sandals. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that leads into this restaurant that is on level with the parking lot, but there wasn't any railing. So if you are someone who is using a manual wheelchair, please be warned that there is a easy way to fall off if you are not paying attention.
