The Secret Garden Cafe - Headingley

Same location, but with a fresh new look and updated name! The Bistro is still located within the Shelmerdine garden centre, and the best part is that it’s now about ten times larger than before. The seating has been expanded, and the updated menu complements the new ambiance perfectly. Although the garden centre is a bit out of the way from the city and a distance from most restaurants, it is well worth it to skip fast food chains and support this café. They offer surprisingly fresh soups, salads, and a variety of other menu items. Be sure to try the freshly made lemonade or choose from an array of gelato flavors. There’s also a great selection of hot and cold beverages, including coffee and tea. If you visit the garden centre, make sure to check out the revamped café!

Considering the garden centre's somewhat remote location, which is a drive away from most dining options, this upgrade has been a long-awaited improvement. I recently visited this cafe for the first time, and I was impressed! The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The only downside is that there is limited seating.
