BrauStadel - Heidelberg

I was not sure if I should give 2 or 3, and 2.5 is probably a fair note. it is quite variable in quality. when we were there for the first time, there were a few very nice dishes, especially the carving with meerrettich and the pork fillet of my wife with knödeln and bluesaurekraut, but they have changed to the summer menu and the result is quite different. the waiters in durndl and leather pants are quite friendly and there is a reasonable choice of beer. the portions are large. it is a convenient place in the neighbourhood for us, but it is not worth traveling there. as regards the kitchen, they also think about meat/height/worst/etc.

In the brown stadium there is nothing to complain. ambiente great, service friendly, eat delicious! I'm happy to come back!

Here you get really neat eating, depending on hungergrad is always the right one. there are great vesper plates, which are huge and good to share, as well as delicious vegetarian dishes and of course wonderful carvings. also many different types of beer! the equipment is modern, unfortunately somewhat bald at the top of the high walls. here an alpenpanorama would fit well :-) the bar is covered with high quality leather, which contributes to the pleasant flair. personal always very friendly - we will definitely come back!

More randomly, certainly not planned, we were again in the brown stadium. after our first visit, we didn't want to go to eat here anymore. This place opened a few months ago in the heart of the campus of the universität heidelberg (called newheimer feld). they offer a nice selection of lunches and a larger selection of dinner menus. the lunch is served quickly, even if the place is crowded, and the price is very reasonable. they also offer a beautiful selection of beer from the barrel.
