Acacia Henley Beach

Had the Japanese-inspired dinner menu. Wonderful, thoughtful work. Lots of evidence of various passion projects by the staff. The hoshigaki, the ferments, the black lime etc. The highlight was the koji sorbet palate cleanser, though there were many contenders. We're not very wine-knowledgeable, but the wine matching was really interesting, with a honey-scented, but dry, pet nat up first and lovely with the snacks.

Truly the stars of this establishment are in the kitchen. The meals we had were creative and very tasty. Let down by very poor service. Seemed to be no leadership in front of house and we had to ask for service continually.

Awesome food and coffee. Nice to have a local place to go to that offer something thats different than your average breakfast menu and cooked to perfection!

What a wonderful experience with the tasting menu and all the staff making it a fabulous evening 10/10
