Mash Brasserie - HENLEY BROOK

Many would think that anywhere in the Swan Valley would be good for a feed.As locals to the area we have been giving everywhere a go.The prices seem to be the same across most establishments, but the quality of food and service can be quite different.We ordered 4 different items off the menu so we could sample the what the food was like before ordering more.We were quickly disappointed, returning a inedible house dip which came with some bread. 4 people in our group and not one person liked it or knew what was in it, nether did the server.The rest of the food was nothing special.Mash has been ticketed off the box but we won't be going back.The seafood truck opposite Mash had better Salt n Pepper squid, than the squid that Mash served.If you want to know where is good look for a place with a "Feral" sounding name. You won't be disappointed!!

Day out in Swan Valley and stopped at Mash Brasserie for lunch. Making a decision on the delicious took a while! Finally decided on beer battered fish and chips with a cold cider. My partner enjoyed the steak sandwich which was great value with a Freo doctor beer which could easily be drunk all day long and the indian ale... Both superb beers. Will definitely be back - thanks Mash

Visited Mash for a work (team-building) lunch. As there was quite a few of us (approx 20) we had to pre-order our food, which I understand makes it easier for chef & staff but quite often also means you end up with cold food, which is exactly what happened in my case (and most others).I ordered the fish & chips - first thing I tasted were the cold chips which I sent back for hot chips, which actually were still not hot. The heavily battered small pieces of fish were even colder than the chips. The salad 'garnish', which was just lettuce leaves were practically thrown on the plate straight out of a packet. The lettuce was not fresh at all and had absolutely NO dressing whatsoever.I was going to complain again, but had lost my appetite by then and to be honest was quite disappointed and fed-up.Waitress staff were friendly but did get quite a few of our drinks wrong - even though these were also pre-ordered.When I'm next visiting the Swan Valley, I will definitely not be going back to Mash!! Quite a number of my colleagues were not happy with their meals either.

We ate here after a round of super golf . Took too long to be seated, order food and get it to the table. The quality of food is good but was nearly cold by the time it made it to our table. Outdoor area affected by tradies working in yard. Needs more staff and more tranquility.

Arrived at 1.00pm, was busy but still tables available so not bursting, being the Easter weekend you expect a little pressure on the staff, took about 20mins to have someone take our order, as I write this review we are 1 hr 45mins waiting for our lunch, we have been offered a free round of drinks, thanks.. the staff obviously doing there best today in trying circumstances... food arrived just shy of two hours from order ...the squid was ok, but packet prepared I would think, the chips turned up cold but were promptly replaced so credit for that... ... perhaps just a bad day for this establishment
