Russia House - Herndon

The owner and his wife are incredibly warm and welcoming! I had a wonderful experience dining here, and the food was delightful. I highly recommend the pâté. I checked the menu online before my visit and was a bit disappointed to find that it wasn't the same as what I had seen (I was eager to try the escargot), but I understand that menus may have changed during the pandemic. It's definitely a lovely spot for a date night.

I'm not even finished with my meal yet, but I have to write a review of this place while it’s still fresh in my mind. The waitstaff is courteous and attentive, and the unique decor combined with the soothing music creates a relaxing atmosphere that enhances the enjoyment of the delicious food. The fried mozzarella was incredibly creamy, and from the moment the food arrived, I could tell I was in for a real treat.

We had a delightful and relaxing experience at the restaurant. The temperature was just right, making it quite comfortable. The decor was interesting, featuring a unique Russian theme. However, the menu we received was different from what we had seen online, likely a result of shortages due to COVID. It seemed that they were slightly understaffed, possibly due to the ongoing pandemic. We encountered some difficulty in getting the waitstaff's attention when we needed assistance, but they were very apologetic about it. Despite these minor issues, we had a truly enjoyable evening overall.
