Írjon visszajelzéstI had the special chicken fried chicken last night. The waitress said it was the best she had ever had. It was crispy and had a good amount of gravy but could have had more. The flavour was not bad but I would still prefer to have Cracker Barrel Chicken Fried Chicken which has a better flavor and is more moist. The mashed potatoes were really good with garlic and potato skins mixed in. The green beans had a great flavor but I had three bites that had stems from the plant in with them. Restaurant was clean and quaint. I would like to try their burgers at some point to see how they taste. Our waitress was very polite and attentive to us.
My family ate lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated immediately which is unheard of on a Sunday. The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive. The food did not take to long to come out and the taste was decent. A place to stop if you are just looking for a bite to eat.
Everything was really good but I don't give out 5 stars because I believe there is always room for improvement. Saying that, I'm not sure where they could improve. Had an awesome time celebrating my wife and I's 20th anniversary with our son who we haven't seen in a year since we dropped him off for college. Had a very enjoyable dinner. Wife had ribs, son had prime rib and I had meatloaf. Grilled vegetables and mashed sweet potatoes. I'd recommend all these entree's and the mashed sweet potatoes stole the show.
What an amazing experience we had. We sat outside, got rained out, and the restaurant replaced all our food! The cajun pasta, buttermilk pork chop, kale salad, and peanut butter pie were all amazing!!! The mashed potatoes and gravy were the best we ever had!! Great atmosphere with nice outdoor seating. Some of the best service, from hostess to waitress, really kind helpful people.
The place is upscale, and the atmosphere and prices reflect that. For the high prices I did find the quality of the food to be a little too inconsistent. As well as the staff seemed a little out of sorts, with the wrong appetizer being brought, disappearing for a long while before we ordered, and some sides missing when the food was brought out. None of these things were horrible, just not expected for the high price payed. Now to the food. The nacho appetizer blew my mind possibly the single freshest food I've ever received from a restaurant. The lettuce is clearly fresh cut and deep green. The tomatoes are crisp fresh and bright red. The meat is well seasoned but not greasy. Crazy to see something as simple as nachos done so well. Then I got my soup... Cold. Potato soup, with no flavor. Very strange contrast in quality from one dish to another. The sweet potato fries too, nothing special whatever. They could have been frozen even. The rest of my table had some really good and fresh looking entrees. I think getting a full entree instead of sides should land you some better quality as they seem to focus on those along side the appetizers. One last thing. The hostess situation was weird. There was two counters next to each other and no clear indication which one was the hostess. The actual hostess counter had two people in front of me and it took about ten minutes for the hostess to see them and get to me. Disappearing for long periods in between. The hostess should probably not have any other duties so she can focus on her station, and the two counters should be merged into one to avoid confusion. That or some signs at least.
