Nakama Japanese Steakhouse - Hickory

Usually this is one of my favorite Japanese places, but today, it is by far not my favorite. The food was bland, no flavor at all. Every piece of chicken had to be thrown out because of all the tough chewy rubbery parts. I just threw the whole plate away. Sorry but this is not your best japanese steakhouse, it's all mush and lack the uniqueness. It's not that great, the chicken meat were very dry but seems like it was coated to keep outside moist and tender (chicken breast I'm assuming). Sauce wasn't that amazing, even Valley Hill Mall's version of teriyaki chicken is better. But I hope this restaurant up's their game so I would support. I've had it all, all asian food, and traveled and ate so many varieties and this does not hit the must-have spot. I recommend a diff japanese restaurant if you want a better authentic one. Enjoy!

Their soba and egg rolls were amazing but their teriyaki chicken wasn't so great. Still would recommend. Food: 4 Recommended dishes: Egg Rolls
