Fuji Japanese Steak House - High Point

There are no changing tables in the restrooms, which is a significant issue, especially since many families visit with young children. The food is outstanding, but the chairs and floors are in desperate need of updating and cleaning. Usually, the wait time isn't long, and the staff, both the waitresses and cooks, are very friendly. Food rating: 5/5.

Unfortunately, I have to rate my experience only 2 stars. Why? When I left the restaurant, the door handles and the surrounding area were absolutely coated in what felt like two years' worth of bacon grease. After my hand slid through the grime, I was horrified to see just how filthy the doors were. It turned my stomach—just so gross. For the $140 I spent on takeout for a family of five, I expect a clean establishment, especially since the venue hasn’t seen any significant updates in the 20 years I’ve been visiting. If you can’t update the decor, at least make an effort to thoroughly clean the place! This is a restaurant where people eat, and if the front door resembles a petri dish of who-knows-what, it leaves a terrible impression. I truly hope management reads this review because this place has the potential to be amazing. I'm sorry, but after what I saw tonight, even the great food isn’t enough to bring me back. I’m mortified that I even managed to eat the food once I got home without telling my family, as they definitely wouldn’t have touched it, which would have meant wasting that $140. Unfortunately, I have to refuse to return, and that’s disappointing since they do offer great hibachi.

The staff were very friendly but the place smelled of gas leak and all surfaces, including chairs, were covered in slippery grease. We only stayed long enough for the soup before having to leave due to how greasy everything was

The food is excellent when dining in. The salmon is the best I've ever tasted, even better than when I make it at home. Food: 5/5

First time back in a few years. Whoever the owners are really need to spruce up the place with flooring, paint and lighting. Hasn't been touched in 20 years easily. I could definitely smell a musky smell, nothing bad, but was noticeable. It could be so much more if they put a little more money into a remodel.Food: 5/5
