A very nice bowl of nachos. As we arrived after 3.30 pm they where not doing hot food only nachos or toasted sandwiches. The nachos were very nice loads of sour cream and mince. $24.00 for a bowl. We found it hard to find their...opening and closing times, TripAdvisor had them closed all week it was only as we went for a drive and found them open.
It's a nice cafe we enjoyed our lunch. Good food but on the expensive side. Many of our group ordered the Ploughmans lunch special for $26. Even my husband commented on how expensive it was! You queue up to order pay at the...counter the dishes are delivered to your table. It's annoying to have to keep queuing up again to get another drink or coffee. There are many dishes which change each day, but all those specials aren't listed anywhere (eg soup, pasta, quiche, pie) so you have to ask the staff about those menu items.
My husband and I came here yesterday looking for a Devonshire tea. Today we returned for brunch. JL said his eggs Benedict was one of the best and my smashed avo on pumpkin and pitta bread was equally delicious. The cafe has a lovely large...patch of grass at the rear with a lovely view of the countryside. They also stock an extensive range of homemade chocolates which look very tempting. Coffee is LavAzza.
