Coyote Coffee Donuts - Highland

We came to this restaurant on our last night in Inverness and it was the worst mistake I've ever made. We were seated at our table, given menus, and ordered drinks and food. The bartender had to serve our drinks and the food sat on the pass for 8 minutes while the waiter talked to people at the door, ignoring the bartender when told there was food to serve. The food still hadn't been served even after the kitchen rang the bell 10 times, so the chef ended up serving us. The company needs to improve staff training. If you need help, just ask. With 37 years in the hospitality industry, if my staff acted like that young man, he would be fired.

Our order was taken 30 minutes after we arrived, and it took another 20 minutes for our drinks to be brought to the table. The food was delicious, but the service was lacking. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, we were disappointed with the slow service and wonder how it would be during peak times.

The food at this restaurant is excellent and the portion sizes are generous. The service is top-notch, the interior is clean and bright. There is nothing to fault, this new location is a big improvement over the old one.

Heard so many good things about Coyote Burger that we couldn’t wait to try it and support a local business. Great vibe in the restaurant with a well laid out seating arrangement. Two burgers and sides ordered but unfortunately my burger was not hot which was a disappointment, felt as if it had been pre made and sitting under a heat lamp. That aside, it was a lovely tasting burger but surpassed by the hot sides which were excellent. Will be back to give it another shot.

I have visited here a few times, however this has to be the worst experience I have had here. It took staff 25 minutes to acknowledge that we were waiting to order, we then waited 45 minutes before having to cancel the order due to it taking too long. Really surprised at the poor service times and poor customer service received here as this is usually not a problem in this restaurant. I can’t see myself returning here if this doesn’t change.
