Encore - Highland

Food was good, not great, but from my point of view quite overpriced. If I'm going to pay 15£ for a risotto I'm expecting a great one, and I felt I could have cooked it myself at home -which is a bit disappointing. It's fair to say that we went on the first day of the new menu, so it might have been one of. The staff wasn't really paying lots of attention to the tables and we weren't asked if everything was alright; they seemed busy chatting to each other. Took a while to get their attention when needed. One of the chefs was constantly ringing the bell, since he had food under the lights while 5 members of the staff were behind the bar, not really paying attention. I think this could be a great place and without a doubt, it has a great atmosphere, but I believe it needs better organisation.

A little gem where all dishes are freshly cooked. They amended the dish to fit my intolerance. Great staff, nicely decorated

The food here is delicious! Definitely the best we found across central Inverness. the chicken dish was particularly scrumptious, and the haggis was the best we’ve tasted across Scotland. Pub has live music on a Sunday night which was fun, a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere. Staff are pleasant.

We found this little gem by accident whilst on holiday, we we made very welcome by the staff, especially Zap,Nick and Caitlin, the food, service, beer and atmospere can not be faulted, we will defo return for more.
