The setting is beautiful, and the food is outstanding. We always prioritize dining here during our annual trips to the area. It's conveniently located in downtown with easy access and parking. We dined there again last night, and it seems to have only improved!
On this lovely Sunday afternoon, I enjoyed lunch on the terrace at one of the most romantic and picturesque spots in this charming mountain town. The food was delicious, as always, accompanied by exceptional service and an atmosphere that is truly unmatched. I often visit this location to capture beautiful weddings on canvas, creating lasting memories. Last night, I had the pleasure of witnessing a stunning summer wedding at the breathtaking Old Edwards @halfmilefarm. The lovely couple exchanged their vows by a serene mountain lake, surrounded by family and friends, all gathered to celebrate their love in this special place. Although rain loomed throughout the day, it held off until the ceremony was completed, allowing us to enjoy cocktails under the tent. Did Mother Nature unleash her fury with a classic summer thunderstorm? I wrapped up my painting under the tent, grateful that oil and water don’t mix! I was overjoyed to be part of such a significant moment. It truly was the "Best Day Ever!" – Gina Strumpf, Wedding Artist.
We dined here on a Saturday in June and discovered we could make a reservation, allowing us to enter our name and receive a call or text when our table was ready. This wasn't an issue, as there are plenty of fantastic shops to explore in the area. Once we got the call that our table was ready, we were seated and enjoyed our cozy little spot while awaiting our meal. We really liked the appetizers and our lunch, and the service was excellent. We both ordered the same dish. I absolutely love this city, even though it tends to be quite busy in the summer.
The food was good. The service was great. It was very pleasant to sit outside in the vineyard. It was a perfect 72°F. Sweet tea was excellent. Not too sweet and a little on the strong side. I like that. I had a bowl of chili and corn bread. It was okay, but it didn't have much taste. I didn't want it sharp, but it needed a little more. Salt and pepper helped. I also had the Smoked Trout Melt. It was good, but the capers overwhelmed the rest of the sandwich. The rye bread really weighed it.
The food was delicious. The service was efficient...too efficient. We went for an anniversary dinner, as our server was aware. We anticipated a leisurely evening. But I had hardly taken the first sip of my wine when the entree was in front of me. Nothing to do but eat it. End of story we had paid and left within an hour. Great place to eat if you are in a big hurry.
