Louies is my go to for fish tacos. They are simply the best in town. Fish grilled to perfection every time. Jalapeno soup is very tasty and Cuban bread is a good accompaniment to the soup. Breakfast items are great. Pancakes have great flavor and size. Omelets are large and delicious. Veggie omelet has veggies like corn,broccoli, and mushrooms in addition to the standard onions and peppers. This place just is a go to for brunch when I am in the area. UPDATE: August 29. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don’t stop in. I have been to Louie’s since it opened. It never disappoints. Tonight I had the Ropa Vieja. I am not a food critic but there was nothing wrong with this dish. DELISH. My only issue was my fault I asked for flour tortillas. Get the corn tortillas. They are lighter. More room in your belly to finish everything. Again. Louie’s has done it again. Stopped in tonight and Louie did not disappoint. I usually order the Ropa Vieja it’s always excellent) but the Chicken and Shrimp Diablo special ignited my palette. I usually hesitate to order shrimp when I eat out. Too easy to over cook. Not here. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. Chicken too. And the Diablo sauce had the right amount of heat though it would have killed my sister note that she is a heat wimp). Wish it was a regular menu item. Oh and don’t forget to try the Carolina Reaper infused Vodka. OUTSTANDING!
