The Vine - Hillingdon

I went to this restaurant to watch football. The atmosphere was lively and the food was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips special, which was great but a bit pricey. I appreciated that they offered tea and coffee for non-alcohol drinkers like myself. The pool table could use some maintenance and relocation. Overall, it was a good experience.

After being a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 20 years, I am disappointed by the poor management that is causing the decline of this establishment. It is common for them to run out of certain drinks and even refuse to serve popular brands like lager. They have even resorted to using plastic cups due to laziness in washing dishes. The pub has been known to close early on Fridays, turn away customers, and have unsanitary conditions in the men's restroom. During big events, there is often a lack of staff. The supposed manageress is often seen drinking rather than serving customers. Many regulars are leaving due to these issues and it's clear that proper management is needed to make this venue successful. It is unacceptable to run out of popular drinks on Christmas Eve and claim success in sales. The Vine could be a goldmine with the right management in place. It's time for the establishment to hire a manager with the necessary qualifications, knowledge, and motivation to help it reach its full potential.

The food was delicious and the service was top-notch at this restaurant. However, we were disappointed to find that there was no heating in the establishment on what may have been the coldest day of the year. Additionally, there was no hot water to wash our hands and the hand dryer was blowing cold air. We had to keep our coats on throughout our meal. We were informed that there was no Manager present at the moment. It's a shame because the restaurant is a lovely venue, but they may lose customers if the heating issue is not resolved promptly.

Came with my wife for a few drinks and a bite. The manager was a friendly man, came over and chatted to us for a bit. Food was quite nice and came quickly. However, when I was in the toilet, I heard people doing drugs, I came out and it was the manager and a customer. Damped our experience somewhat. Not too sure if I’d eat here again after seeing that. Would recommend for a drink on a sunny day outside, otherwise myself and my wife will not be returning.
