Chaat Cafe - Hillsboro

Delicious food, but the smoke made me cough, and the staff did too. It might be a good idea to improve the ventilation in the restaurant.

I ordered my meal myself, and unfortunately, it was a letdown. The food was greasy and congealed, with a bland flavor that lacked seasoning. It seemed like it might have been leftovers from the previous day. Overall, it was the worst tasting food I’ve had—truly disappointing.

My husband, who is half Pakistani, and I had previously struggled to find authentic Pakistani restaurants in the Portland subway area. However, we recently discovered this gem and it was a delightful surprise! We ordered the Paak-scatterer, Samosa Chaat, Naans, and Mango Lassi, and everything was outstanding. The naan was fresh, hot, and perfectly fluffy, the mango lassi was sweet, and the chaat was bursting with wonderful aromas. We just wish we lived closer to this fantastic place! The prices are reasonable, and they have lovely outdoor seating. The only downside was that our takeout was served in plastic containers, and we really need to move away from using plastics. Despite that, the food was excellent, and we can't wait to return!

The food is amazing. Got the Karachi, Malai kofta and Samosa chaat. Try the KULFI. The winner. It is not a beautiful place, but the quality of food is great. And the owner is a doll.

Ordered lamb wrap and samosas. Samosas were not hot and very oily. Like they had been fried 15 mins before I got there (which was 5 mins before my posted arrival time online). The lamb wrap was a bit soggy and the meat was tough and flavorless. Hillsboro needs a good Indian wrap spot, but to my dismay this is not it. Cook/cashier was not pleasant and cooking conditions looked very dirty and unkept.
