Írjon visszajelzéstI can't say much about food here, but I hear it's pretty solid! I come here almost exclusively to the rainbow bread. Usually a whole crate of eating plus a foliage while I'm in Hilo. This is a must for me when I come here. During this last visit I had some of the cookies and they were AMAZING. Well, I guess I'm coming for bread and cookies! Try the food next time! The menu was a good size and I love a good dinner!
I'm from HNL, so what do I know? I love BREAD! If I visit Hilo, I have to meet 2 places that can be reached on foot... the Mochi Shop fo' mochi (all white what) and Low International for da Rainbow Bread! The hotel is located at the corner of Ponahawai and Kilauea St, if you park Hea or at the Mochi shop, either the place is accessible. This icon sells other items beside bread, but I only get the bread of Sa. I sometimes get the Taro, Lilikoi or Guave, with da Rainbow, but their loaves are great to slathering all ova! You have these carrying boxes that are good for aircraft trips, BUT is counted as one of your things for the flight. The boxes can also be sent, so if you want to send out your bread, you can also do this! So if you are in Hilo and wonder for snacks or need omiyage, you need to meet Low International. Leave my next visit, Grind On!
Delicious Rainbow Bread! Soft and sweet. Every day always freshly baked. I always get a box from 4 back to Honolulu. Fast and friendly service. Shop is dated.
The place looks a little sketchy but has great bakery items that are very reasonably priced
Preface: this review was in the drafts from 8/9/22. I'm also Chinese and Pacific Islander.Ask any first or second generation Asian and they will agree that the best Asian restaurants have around 3 stars and terrible customer service because their food will prove they are worthy. This would be an example.I'm not going to lie that the restaurant looks a little dingy from the outside and can be easy to overlook, but at least give the rainbow and taro breads a try! The highlights are the amount of food they give you and the rainbow bread. Even though it looks burned, I couldn't taste that and the toast was so buttery and delicious. Kalua pork and rice was also great! It was takeout only at the time (not sure about now), but I'm sure it'll be even better on the spot!
