Tank's Tavern - Hinckley

Burgers are terrific. Try the bacon cheeseburger with fried onions. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Their **** Mary is my favorite in the state and is served with a full 6oz bottle of beer for a chaser. The lack of tap beer is their only weakness.

I have fond memories of Tank's, with its delicious burgers, wings, and pull-tabs. It's definitely a must-visit spot when traveling from Minneapolis to Duluth. The burgers may be simple, but they're quite flavorful. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we had some good luck with the pull-tabs!

This is an ordinary small-town dive bar. They don’t have draft beer, only bottles and cans. The mixed drinks are quite strong. As for the food, it's decent, but I suspect it's all frozen.

Tank's Tavern, located just outside Hinckley, was one of our stops during the 4th of July weekend. We needed a place close to the cabin we rented and wanted to avoid the Casino. The burger we had was definitely worth the visit. Given its proximity to the Casino, I expected it to be busier. However, they really need to offer some draft beer options and explore craft beers. Overall, as an Up North Tavern, I rate it 3 stars. But if you're looking for a burger that competes well with the likes of Convention Grill or Lions Tap, it's worth stopping by.
