The Ashby Tavern

In response to joe musk review of ashby tavern. herr musks sadness about the ashby is as follows. herr musk has a 1yr old son who he is quite happy to have crawled over the whole pub. remember that it is a drinking water and not food. beer is spilt and glasses are crushed that no amount of mopping or hoovering can guarantee to stand up all the last germs or scissors of glass, people stand at the bar and at several locations I have experienced that people away from the bar and almost on the baby on the floor behind them. there are two fire places, both with heavy gratings, the little one has always drawn a bieline for and occasionally she has pulled down when she is on small hand or god forbid head to do harm. we also introduced disco/caraoke on a Friday and Saturday and so on these 2 nights only a children's game was set after 19 o'clock, while Sunday until Thursday 9 o'clock remains. herr musk and his partner did not like this rule, but we take our customers safety very seriously and those of their children. the ashby tavern remains a child-friendly pub with many outdoor seats for the warm summer nights.

Amazing teamworkers who are always happy for a chat, very friendly environment. also looks beautiful from the inside.

Fantastic transformation compared to my last visit there last summer. Great atmosphere warm and friendly staff and even though it was busy we didn't have to wait long to get served. We really enjoyed our night out there. Also they do real ale. Looks like we've found our new local!
