Ekohiiki - Hiroshima

A great lunch. Have never tried Hiroshima oysters and these were plump and juicy. There's not a whole lot of selection on the menu (might be a limited English version) but they do it well. We had a fried oyster set and a conger eel set and both were delicious. We also got some grilled oysters and the waitress was so considerate as one of the oysters were small, they grilled another for us, complimentary. Highly recommend if you're keen to try some local oysters.

So close to the Peace memorial park, the A bomb dome and the museum, you would expect a tourist trap and not a restaurant. Far from it! The lunch deal is unbeatable, the fried oysters are amazing (if you had them in the southern US, you will be reminded of Southern food) and all the condiments are also very good. Don’t pass on the “tartar” sauce with Japanese mayo. The oysters are very clean in taste, not briny whatsoever and as a result mild in flavor. The sauce is a great addition. We also ordered a side dish of cooked spinach with Uni on top so good! If you are on your way back from the memorial this place with its food will provide some comfort.

Everything we ordered was delicious. The grilled oysters are truly a must try, they are big, juicy and still have the sea taste despite the grilling. They were probably the best grilled oysters I ever had. Everything else was delicious from the the salmon kimchi to the fried chicken (which was juicy and not greasy) to the spinach with sea urchin melting in your mouth!

Came here for lunch after visiting the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. It is very near the A Bomb Dome just next door to Nagataya which had a long queue. They close at 2pm and we were there at 130pm. The closed the restaurant after we went in. Had the lunch set and grilled oysters. Oysters were fresh and I felt the price was reasonable for the quality of food. Overall positive experience.

The best! I ordered grilled oysters for 600 yen and I got 4 oysters. I also ordered rice with oysters for 600 yen. It's cheap and it's super DELICIOUS. I want to give 99 out of 100
