Customs House Hotel - Hobart

My wife and I ate in this restaurant on a Saturday night. it was a pretty rough dining room, almost everyone table occupied. we were served by a young American waiter who was interested in us during our meal. my wife chose a seafood basket...for her meal by relying on eating a large part of her chips, I had porkloin, served with Asian greens, brat apple, caramelized chili, lemongrass and kefir broth lime. my wife managed to finish the fish and I enjoyed the meat, found it tender and succulent. desserts were unusually a baked berry cheese cake with fairy-flower, celestial and white chocolate-hard and vanilla ice cream. I had soothed chocolate mousse, poched birne, chocolate color, nutella and cream. they have finished our meal quite nicely. service was very friendly and timely. against the end of our meal many diners left their tables and went out to drink. the dining room became calmer and we could have a coherent conversation.

Wonderful place. stunning ambiente, they have preserved the historic building so well. the service was a little slow, but they were very busy. the food was first-class. I would recommend a visit.

Very happy to chose to stop for lunch. Excellent wait staff and very impressed with our wonderful seafood platter.

Excellent restaurant right on the waterfront, we were lucky to get a front window table to enjoy the view. Good menu selections. good service. We had the beef burger was a large meal and a deep fried Camembert (entree size) all very tasty.

Great location in Hobart right across the road from the waterfront. From the beginning to the end it was great service from all the staff. When our food came out we were blown away with the size and quality. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
