Dome - Hobart

Standard Dome produce and service. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the coffee was hot, cakes nothing special but it was a comfy place to sit and plan our next move. I really wish they would all clean then floors properly though. Always grubby!

Had a cuppa and cookie here and enjoyed sitting in the window in a big comfy chair, on a rainy, cold day. Had a Mars bar slice which was very yummy though a bit rich. The staff were very friendly and the cafe had plenty of room inside.

I took ma & pa here once before when they came via cruise ship a few years ago. I wanted to try this place again to see if my memory was as good. Saturday lunch was busy but because there are two levels everyone was spread out. Love the decor. Bentwood chairs and tables, also relaxing club chairs & tables. Then there are diners over on back wall. Food is tasty and there is a lot of it. Decaf coffee was drunk before veggie chicken soup arrived which was good timing. Huge plate of soup with garlicky tasting fried flavour bread but also a pat of butter (which I gave away). Yum. Bit salty but I forgot to say anything. Very busy with the young folk. Girlfriends, couples and oldies like me, ha!Then I took myself off to tmag for the afternoon

My partner and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast here recently. Staff are very friendly and professional. The restaurant is comfortable and well presented, a very nice place to eat.

Large coffee certainly tasted good but it is served in an over sized cup that is more like a small soup bowl. They are difficult to hold stable because the handle is standard cup size. Mugs would be better.I ordered the smoked salmon eggs hollandaise and again they just fell short of the mark because everything except the eggs was cold and the eggs followed suit shortly after. It would have been better if the spinach had been warmed and the bun everything was on was toasted but maybe that isn't how they make their version. Service was friendly I was just disappointed with the food.
