Írjon visszajelzéstThe staff is good but the owner Allen Bari is one of the most disgusting, pretentious, condescending and discriminatory people I've ever encountered.I wouldn't recommend Hudson Table for the single reason of his lack of value of his customers and patrons. His lack of accountability as an owner is disappointing and it's no wonder the business is struggling. An owner should be setting the standard for the rest of your staff instead, he made excuses, accusations, insulted us, and made inflammatory remarks.I will never give them my business again as there are far better venues with better business ethics, leadership, and experience for cooking classes, hosting, and space rentals.
Went to a rooftop dinner, chef prepared food on the roof. Beautiful views, really great food. A hidden gem.
I hosted a 50th birthday party dinner at Hudson table and it was amazing. The food was delicious, service was incredible, and the party planning help was really well organized. The team made everything so easy and enjoyable. We can’t wait to host our next event there. Thank you!
**Pros:** - Chef Kaitlin did a great job preparing everyone for the class and went over safety training, basic techniques, and explanations. - There were plenty of helpers available to answer questions and provide assistance. - The menu and recipe choices were good and covered a variety of cooking methods. Making cinnamon rolls, rolling out pie crust, and preparing latkes was a lot of fun! - The class had a good capacity with a nice layout that made the space inviting. **Cons:** - There was a noticeable lack of cleanliness. The aprons were dirty and had hair on them. - The cheese we received was moldy. While it was eventually replaced, I was more frustrated with how the situation was handled. Food safety is crucial, and when we pointed out the moldy cheese, one staff member initially told us it was okay to use because it was "such a small amount." After we insisted on a replacement, it felt like we had annoyed the staff for raising the issue. They didn't make eye contact and didn’t address our concerns in a professional manner. - We were also disappointed when our pie crust was mislabeled, leading us to end up with someone else's less appealing crust after baking. Part of the fun of these classes is celebrating your hard work, and given the $75 per person cost, we would have appreciated more understanding from the staff. Additionally, much of our food ended up being undercooked and inedible.
Allen, the proprietor, was unhelpful and condescending during our phone conversations. While he mentioned the possibility of a refund, this wasn’t a viable option for us due to the significant costs associated with productions. We encountered another issue; removing the camera was straightforward, secured only by two screws, but the owner refused to allow it. I can understand his stance on that, as it is his property. However, what I found unacceptable was his next move. When the discussion became heated, Allen threatened to "call the cops to have you forcibly removed." It’s alarming to consider that he would resort to involving law enforcement against paying customers simply seeking clarification due to the lack of specific booking details. Threatening to call the police on non-threatening individuals—especially when he wasn't even present at the facility—is not only cowardly but also deeply troubling, particularly given the implications for people of color. I will never use this kitchen again for any significant project, as it is clear that Allen Bari thinks that involving law enforcement over a disagreement is an acceptable approach.
