Írjon visszajelzéstThe food is fantastic, and the beer selection is impressive! We tried the crocodile, fish and chips, and the chicken breast with grill sauce, all of which were delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of parking. The atmosphere is lovely, perfect for casual conversations. I could easily see myself coming here regularly; it feels like a place I could call home!
We were greeted by the new manager who would not have been more helpful. his first priority was to clarify the children. to help tables and provide the color pencils and leaves for them. the meals and desserts that his wife had prepared were the first class. all freshly made, large portion sizes and tasted wonderfully. toilets were clean and fresh. huge garden area with plenty to keep all children occupied. we will definitely come back. nigel (the new manager) is an absolute gentleman and only wants them to enjoy their visit.
Booked for Sunday afternoon dinner. A charming village olde pub restaurant. The landlord was accommodating for our family of 10 consisting of four adults and six children aged 8 to 16. Although it was busy the service was fast and the food was superb. Especially the Sunday roast. Oh and the home made cheesecake. mmmmmm! The three children under 10 eat free. And the chef Landlady made sure the kids got their food first without much waiting. There is a huge grass area for the kids to run around and with slides climbing frames to keep them busy. We also took our dog. Above all the Landlord was very chatty and made us all feel comfortable. Prices were spot on, ending up at £13 per head including three course sunday lunches and drinks I will certainly recommend the New Inn Hockwold and would go back again.
Food was great! We popped in on a Wednesday evening for dinner. They had the dining room booked for a large party, but they still found time to make us dinner and it was great. Service was wonderful. Cozy pub. The Stilton chicken was really tasty! Very good prices on meals as well.
I wanted to visit on Valentine's Day, but I ended up at another pub in Newmarket that didn't meet my expectations, so I owe myself a night at the new inn! They regularly have fresh specialties, so it's always a good idea to check the blackboard for what’s new. I always try their specials and have never been disappointed. I've also had their Sunday roast, which is absolutely delicious. I always feel like I get great value for my money, as I'm always satisfied and leave with a full stomach. Plus, my taste buds are always happy! They have a wonderful selection of ales, beers, and ciders. The menu is quite extensive, and I'll be sure to take some photos and share them soon. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and meat-lovers alike! I'm especially eager to try their exotic meat platter, which includes meats sourced from Scotland.
