Pakkhús - Hofn

Very good food, everything was really delicious. Very nice and experienced service, I really recommend this restaurant!!!!

We were sent here by a tour guide, with great recommendations and We got there right around 530, and they were able to seat our party of three right away. Our waitress, Sylvia, was very good in answering our questions, and giving us recommendations on our meal. Between the three of us, we had the squid for an appetizer, the cod, the horse, languinstine spring rolls, languinstine soup, and 2 different desserts. When the gentleman brought out the squid, he brought us a crab salad appetizer that they are trying out, on the house—that was phenomenal! If it were on the menu, I would have gotten a full size! All of the good had so much flavor, I was thoroughly impressed! If we were staying more than one night in Hofn, we’d definitely be back!

Food was fabulous, it was busy and they were able to seat us as a table for two no problem. Seafood was served fresh and hot, I would eat here again!! Food is expensive in Iceland but here in Hofn I feel the cost is more of a value than in Reykjavik. When by the seafood one must eat seafood!!

The food was outstanding. We ordered three starters and 2 mains. The food portions were good and everything was delicious! What a find in the beautiful village of Hofn!

We have an an outstanding experience at dinner in this restaurant. From appotizers to drinks, to main meals and all the way to desserts food was simply excellent and restaurant staff was very friendly helping us navigate through menu and sharing great tips around local sightseeing spots. We are looking forward to returning to this place soon on our next trip don’t miss their langoustine soup skyr dessert!
